Hello, Folks.
It’s been a while since I’ve sent out a note. Crazy times, eh? It’s a good time for kindness and patience and gardening. I am so grateful to be home on Prince Edward Island this summer but it feels weird not to be doing shows… for the first time in four decades. Actually I am doing an online show this coming Saturday as part of the virtual Rollo Bay Fiddle Festival. Here is a link. https://www.ticketscene.ca/events/29884/
I returned from Mexico in March and started planting seeds—lots of seeds. We have a wonderful seed sharing organization here on the island. I helped spread seed around, especially to young gardeners and started as many plants as I could. It’s been a challenging season: too dry, too hot, too cold, too many bugs. But, hey, that’s the gardener’s life, eh? I have to say digging in the earth has done me the world of good. It is a blessing to grow flowers and veggies.
I’ve also been really busy at Rock Barra Artist Retreat. It’s been nice to have the time to do projects that I’ve dreamed about for years. 2020, the year of the sauna! We cannot do concerts this summer but are presenting an amazing lineup of workshops. Some have sold out already so book soon!
Take good care, folks. I hope to get back out touring one day before too long. Keep in touch and enjoy your summer.
Cheers,
Teresa
