Sad news, glad news

April 11, 2022

Sad news, glad news… it’s been a tough winter for our island community. We lost a couple of beloved musicians: Koady Chaisson from The East Pointers and Pastelle LeBlanc from Vishtèn, and also Felix Forrester-Wendt from our farmers market family. We are a tight-knit community, so these losses hit hard.

Now to some glad news. A group of us have formed a songwriting collective to write songs of hope for the planet. The intent of the project is to ignite a network of musicians around the globe to compose songs about the world we envision—songs of community, justice, and environmental renewal. We need a new narrative, not of global destruction, but of global re-generation. We are hosting songwriting circles at home and reaching out to our peers around the world. Thousands of organizations around the planet are lit-up with new ideas and technologies giving people a sense of purpose, dignity and hope. As songwriters, we need to do our part. I hope you can join us for this special concert next week. Tickets are going fast. Keep in touch.

Contact Trailside at (902) 367-3311 or online for tickets.

Cheers,
Teresa
