Spring is in the air, the garden is planted, and plans are underway for a terrific summer. I am delighted to be introducing Rachel Leslie of Fortune River Productions to my creative team. Rachel will be managing the jazz part of my catalogue and will be working closely with me on the upcoming release of my new jazz recording.

Hi Folks. Let’s start with the big news!! I am the 2007 recipient of the Victor Martyn Lynch Staunton award recognizing outstanding achievement for artists in mid career. The award is given annually to one Canadian artist in each of seven different disciplines. I am the recipient in music this year. I am thrilled to say the least! The award and cash prize of $15,000 will be presented in Quebec City on January 23.

Summer 2007

Hello again and best wishes for a great summer. I’ve had a very busy winter with shows and voice workshops in Halifax, Mont Tremblant, New York, Maine, Ireland and here at home on Prince Edward Island. I offered weekly classes in Sound Yoga. Classes will resume again in the fall. I’ve also been working hard on my jazz guitar and really enjoy being able to do a solo show. Winter 2006

With the wood stove humming and the harvest chores completed I can finally pause and look back on a whirlwind summer… a trip to Boulder in the spring, the Sound Symposium in St. John’s, Newfoundland, a ‘sound sculpture’ project at our Rock Barra Retreat here on Prince Edward Island and a September journey to Ireland to give two voice workshops.
